Here you will find
prayers of comfort and assurance,
prayers that help to express anger or hurt or pain,
prayers to strengthen and console,
prayers, too, for your departed loved one and to commend them to God.
May the love of God
and the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
and gently wipe away every tear from our eyes.
And may Almighty God bless us,

to the wholeness and fullness of your presence in heaven,
where your saints and angels enjoy you for ever and ever. Amen.
When Lonely or Afraid
Risen Lord Jesus,
draw near to us as we walk this lonely road.
Pierce our weary sorrow
and gladden our heavy hearts as you go with us,
and bring us in the end to your heavenly table. Amen.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid”,
take away our fear of death;
bring us to the place that he has gone to prepare for us;
and give us his peace for ever. Ame
On February 14th, we won't be too concerned with roses and boxes of chocolates
(as important and as beautiful as that is to those who are in love!)
Instead, we'll be celebrating Ash Wednesday,
the beginning of Lent and that journey to the cross,
the ultimate expression of God's LOVE for us,
and to the glory of Easter day as we rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ!
As we draw near to the beginning of Lent,
the Springtime of the Church,
we'll be filling this area with news and updates
about everything that's happening in the parish.
In the meantime...
you can download a pdf version of of EXODUS
our seasonal magazine
and gain a glimpse into this most important season
of the Christian year by clicking on the image!
Our mgazine is full of fascinating articles
including news about our Lenten Charity:
USPG's Let My People Go Appeal
which supports communities in India.
The paper version of our magazine
is available in church from Sunday 21 January,
giving you plenty of time to get to grips with Lent!
